Future Welfare Recipients

The savings rate in the US fell to the lowest level since the Great Depression as Americans spend all they make and then some. People are borrowing money and are in loads of debt. The left will tell you that this is because the economy is so bad people can not make ends meet but the reality is that people feel it is not necessary to save. This will be a disaster for the millions of baby boomers who will begin retiring this year. They will believe that their retirement is taken care of by placing their trust in a failed Social Security system that is in need of serious overhaul.

What we will have is millions of Americans who will not have any money to handle a crisis such as loss of a job or health problems. In retirement, these same people will live in poverty and demand that the government do more to give them what they “deserve.” The first rule is to pay yourself and unfortunately, many people have never been taught that so they spend money carelessly. The same people who have to have everything now will say that a terrible economy made them poor. They will claim they never made enough money to save any. The sad thing is they will claim this while watching their big screen TVs, waxing their expensive cars, talking on their cell phones and listening to their huge sound systems.

People in this country need to wake up and realize that the government is not there to take care of them. They need to learn to take care of themselves.

See what you get when you build an entitlement society.

This is sad. They will only allow me to save $2000 or I lose my disability. I scrape, cut coupons, buy generic, etc. I have obviosly saved more than that, and I’m supposed to feel like a criminal? It isn’t fair. This is same rate it was in 1970!!! Hello? Is anyone with an economic background out there listening?

How are you, buddy? You do some very good work! I run into quite often. I have been busy working on this new site that I have. Just click on my name, lol. 🙂
