Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder- personally I liked Laura Bush- good looking and class to boot. I will wager that she was competent enough that she didn’t need a full time staff for makeup, but I could be wrong. In any event, this pales in importance to everything else that is happening today, it’s just another elitist indicator, that’s all.

I don’t know- I’m almost inclined to give her a pass here- she’s obviously having a hard enough time trying to figure out a social schedule, what with all the live concerts she arranges in the WH for her and the staff. Then add to that the grueling schedule she must maintain in hiring a tutor to show her how to act with national leaders(do NOT lay hands on the queen) and refine her social graces.
At that rate, its no wonder that she has no time for her face, much less her children.
So now they have done like the Washington advice suggests- “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.” On Tuesday, the children will have a friend. I notice they had to fly this one in from out of state also. The Obamas seem to like to make their carbon footprint as large as possible. They must count on all the little people to counter that, since we won’t be able to drive, or heat our houses, but that’s OK- they have a dog flown from Texas.
