Since the major problems in Katrina were caused by a Democratic Mayor and Governor perhaps it is time you guys owned up to your failures. The feds had little responsibility compared but that did not keep the Dems from lying about it. Also, does Obama mean that only the GOP has failures to own? Because the Democrats have more than a hundred year history of racism, opposing civil rights, lynching, Jim Crow laws, the KKK, and all kinds of abuses that they have not owned up to yet. We have spent 13 TRILLION dollars on the war on poverty, a Dem initiated program, and we still have the same percentage of the population in poverty. We have spent billions in education and still have stupid kids and miserable schools. It is time the DNC owned up to its failures. BTW, it would appear that things are running pretty smoothly in Louisiana. See what happens when you have a Republican Governor who requests federal assistance early on?
