Former ACORN Head Is A Socialist

The former head of the now defunct organization ACORN is screaming racism and warning those mush heads who listen to her that things are worse now than they were during Jim Crow and the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII. She is spouting the liberal line that the TEA Party movement is full of racists who will take off their masks and come after black folks.

What a load of horse dung.

This moron has no clue whatsoever. To her ACORN lost federal funds (the Second Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated that ban) and disbanded because of racist white people. The fact that ACORN was involved in criminal activity never crossed her mind as a possible reason that the organization ran into trouble. Voter registration fraud, voter fraud, assisting people with tax evasion, prostitution, and importing minors for prostitution were all committed by members of her organization. Of this there is no doubt.

But that is not the reason ACORN had problems. No, it has to be racist white America.

Bertha also told the crowd that she is a Socialist and she stated that it is OK with her when groups tell her they are young, Democrat, and Socialist (as if there is a difference between a Democrat and a Socialist). That is all well and good. This is America and she can be what she wants but what she cannot do is slander other Americans by painting them as racists because she lacked the integrity to run her organization in an ethical manner.

Lewis also took a shot at the TEA Party movement referring to it as a “bowel movement.”

Ha Ha, how very juvenile. Is there any wonder why people do not take her or her former organization seriously?

The only bowel movement I saw was the one being executed when she was talking crap because it is obvious that this moron talks out her anus.

Which might not be all that impressive considering that her head is up there.

Still lying about ACORN. Or is it a lie still when you just simply ignore the evidence to the contrary? I guess not. Let’s take it one by one.

Voter registration Fraud: If you think the organization itself was behind their canvassers registering bogus people you’d think they’d have instructed them to register names other than players from the Dallas Cowboys.

    Voter Fraud: Prove it.

Tax Evasion and Prostitution: Obviously you haven’t seen the longer uncut versions of the videos that show ACORN was not assisting anyone with tax evasion or prostitution and in fact in several of the instances ACORN employees called the police.

I get that you hate ACORN and what it stood for but at least stop falling back on things that have been debunked long ago.

    • Big Dog says:

None of this has been discredited except in the minds of progressives who rationalize behavior to protect the corruption. If they called the police care to come up with a police report and the arrest report. Surely if the police were called they did not ignore ACORN telling them of the crimes the two were asking to be involved in.

It does not matter if the corporate HQ was involved or not, it is responsible. The fraud was certainly coordinated at the local level. All levels of leadership were responsible.

Where were you when Obambam and the libs were saying that Bush was responsible for Abu Ghraib? Surely, under your definition, he cannot be held responsible for what happened at such a low level.

      Voter Fraud:
ACORN’s Project Vote affiliate has tried to get rid of the problem of vote fraud by defining it out of existence. Lorraine C. Minnite, a political science professor at Columbia University’s Barnard College, argues in an ACORN/Project Vote report called “The Politics of Voter Fraud” that “[t]he claim that voter fraud threatens the integrity of American elections is itself a fraud.” Minnite is also a senior fellow at the liberal think tank Demos. Voter fraud

Considering ACORN hires people who are stupid then I would imagine no instructions were given about what names not to use and those who canvassed were probably not bright enough to figure it out.

“If they called the police care to come up with a police report and the arrest report.”

You can see a police report here. As far as the trafficking goes even Fox reported on this last year.

“It does not matter if the corporate HQ was involved or not, it is responsible.”

They accepted responsibility for the actions and cleaned house over it in various ways. Your side pretends ACORN planned or condoned the actions somehow which is ridiculous.

“Considering ACORN hires people who are stupid then I would imagine no instructions were given about what names not to use and those who canvassed were probably not bright enough to figure it out.”

Baseless speculation, of course. ACORN was revealed to have serious flaws in their voter registration process but you have zero evidence that ACORN planned or even condoned the fraud. You have an example of one man fraudulently voting as if that’s ACORN condoning it again.

I’m not sitting here pretending ACORN has been a perfect organization, but you think of them as a criminal enterprise when we both know their biggest crime to you is registering poor voters.

        • Big Dog says:

Registering poor voters as a crime? Now who is speculating. I have no problem with people who are legally eligible to vote being registered no matter how poor they are.

I have problems with organizations saying they are non partisan and getting tax dollars and then working to get Democrats elected and working for the Democrat party. MY tax dollars should not pay for that.

If they registered everyone and did it proportionately it might be different but their leader is a Socialist and the organization’s views are well know, leftist.

It does not matter if ACORN sanctioned it (which we do not know), they are responsible.

The Philly lady was on before claiming that she threw them out. The video was released after she made the statement and it is clear she did not throw them out and she did not try to throw them out. Here

You might want to watch the video where they dispute what the Philly lady said. They show she LIED.

That police report says that they couple was unruly and mentions nothing of the other activities. I wonder why the police never took them in. They were there long enough. Oh, perhaps, they were covering their butts and called to make the unruly peoiple complaint.

Show me something where they were reported for the illegal activity they were selling. I saw video showing them being assisted. Your police report says that they were unruly. Right. Maybe they got a policeman to write up a backdated report to cover their LIES. Look at what they said and look at what is on the video.

And even if this were true (which it is not), the other 4 offices assisted in the illegal requests. ACORN was trying to cover its butts.

        • Adam says:

This is how it goes with you.

The Philly office called the police? Oh, but they didn’t call it for the right reasons so it doesn’t count.

The San Diego office called the police too? They didn’t call for the right reasons either and were just covering their butts.

Besides, other offices didn’t call so we can just ignore the cases where ACORN did the right thing and focus on the worst case because that is better.

But wait. A DA found that there was no criminal activity in the videos? Well, probably a liberal and meaningless!

Oh no, an AG found the videos were full of lies and were edited to fit an agenda? Well, another liberal as well. Nothing to see here.

It goes on and on with you disregarding reality and facts because you hate ACORN and you can’t let a pesky thing like the truth get in the way of your story about the evil socialist ACORN stealing elections for Democrats and helping Obama manufacture a housing crisis so he can control our lives!

          • Big Dog says:

This is how it is with you, ignore the evidence and tailor items presented to define specific things. I think the one AG to whom you refer is running for reelection and is heavily supported by ACORN types. I don’t believe that the videoes were edited and the important thing is that they certainly were not editied to make the people appear as if they were breaking the law, they were. Their own words show that.

ACORN engaged in voter fraud. When you register people fraudulently, it is voter fraud. The offices caught early on had no clue, those caught later knew and could manipulate. Call the police because that might have been them.

In San Diego the people responsible for prosecuting are involved in Brown’s bid for governor so you know they will not upset the apple cart. Why did that office discard so many documents just after being asked for certain ones?

You guys on the left used Abu Ghraib to paint the entire war and our military as bad and sent it all the way to Bush. Guys like Ted kennedy ignored the 99/9% good stuff to rail about Abu Ghraib. Now you want people to focus on two offices that might have done the right thing (as if calling the police after engaging in the illegal stuff is right) but ignore the bad stuff. It does not work that way. Even if Philly did what was right, that is what they are supposed to do. the other offices did not so we should focus on them. this is why the police do not pull people over for driving the speed limit. they puul the ones exceeding it over. You would have us believe that we should ignore the speeders because most everyone else is going the speed limit.

Unfrtunately, ACORN had so many areas where there was corruption and in so many places thta it is safe to conclude that it was poorly managed and that it was rife with corruption.

And don’t tell me they register poor folks to vote. poor folks can do that on their own. If you want to vote you register to vote. You do not need help doing that. Even the poorest person can register without help.

            • Adam says:

“I don’t believe that the videos were edited and the important thing is that they certainly were not edited to make the people appear as if they were breaking the law, they were.”

You don’t believe the videos were edited? Are you kidding? And if laws were broken then please cite the laws.

“When you register people fraudulently, it is voter fraud.”

No, there is a clear difference between voter registration fraud and voter fraud. Voter fraud happens but is very rare and often times is just a goof on the part of the voter such as with Ann Coulter. ACORN can’t be excused for their registration disaster but you have zero evidence to suggest it was part of their plan and not simply bad management which they paid for with firings and internal investigations.

“You guys on the left used Abu Ghraib to paint the entire war and our military as bad and sent it all the way to Bush. ”

Somehow I find the torture and abuse and death of detainees in Iraq to be in no way on par with the partisan witch hunt you’ve waged against ACORN.

        • Adam says:

And for the record ACORN did not get tax dollars to elect Democrats. If you think I’m wrong then please show evidence that they did.

I’m starting to think every line out of your side’s mouth about ACORN must contain a lie by some unspoken right wing code.

          • Big Dog says:

I did not say they got tax dollars to elect Democrats. I said, and pay attention, they receive tax dollars AND their stated goal is to elect Democrats and that is what they work for. If they are partisan and work to elect Democrats then they should not be getting our tax dollars (and this goes for any organization that works to elect Republicans). Personally I do not think any of them should be getting our money but don’t distort what I said. The two thoughts were independent of each other but the end result is that an organization whose purpose is to elect Democrats gets our tax money.

As for the police report. How do we know that this report was for the two who exposed them? How do we know that there was not an incident where someone else was unruly and they used that report to claim it was the two investigators? There are no names on it. The report on Gladney contains names. So this report is hardly conclusive.

            • Adam says:

“I said, and pay attention, they receive tax dollars AND their stated goal is to elect Democrats and that is what they work for. If they are partisan and work to elect Democrats then they should not be getting our tax dollars…”

They received tax dollars for a specific part of the organization unrelated to any part with a partisan agenda. I’m sorry that you can’t see that, but perhaps you can pay more attention as well and stop blurring that line until called out on it and then pretend to be outraged.

          • Big Dog says:

You have yet to show a lie. You have only shown how you can rationalize illegal behavior.

            • victoria says:

              Amen and Amen.

            • Adam says:

I defend ACORN for it’s work and goals, not any criminal activity by them. Let’s not get that confused.

I think any criminal activity should be investigated fully in courts if needed. I just don’t think ACORN itself is a criminal organization as your side so ridiculously keeps suggesting.

But again we know you think the poor should have even less say in our country so you can’t help but loath any organization that advocates for or assists them in such ways.

            • Blake says:

You defend the indefensible here, Adam, and then attempt to demonize conservative thought with an illogical, “you hate the poor” argument meant to smear and do nothing else.
ACORN has never been about helping the poor, just enriching themselves through fraud- and now that they aren’t getting their “free Obama money” as ACORN, they are morphing into other organizations, because if they do not get the “free” money, they might actually have to work for a living, and that would be horrible, as they epitomize “unskilled” labor.

  2. GM Roper says:

Of course Adam is a supporter of the fraud, why, he must be off his meds too

  3. Part of the socialist disease is the conviction, never examined, that “the end justifies the means.” Whether the end is itself justifiable, on either moral or utilitarian grounds, never enters their thoughts either. ACORN and its leadership are classic cases of all the above.

  4. Big Dog says:

And Media Matters is a left wing group that is untruthful.

  5. Mr Soldier says:

Until the liberals and dems stop intervening in the schools, we will always have to deal with people like Adam who look the other way about corruption.
Let the states worry about their schools, and not the federal government.
No more politics in school. Too much focus on revisionist education and not the truth!

  6. Blake says:

When the progressives cannot win with the argument, they ALWAYS demonize, as seen with the Tea Party movement- but they ALSO excuse bad behavior on their part, as witnessed by the constant and illogical arguments put forth by Adam.
Adam, it is not even particularly WHAT they have been doing, but that they have even been doing it at all.
They show a remarkable disregard for the laws and the Constitution of this land, as you do also, simply by excusing their behavior.
You are very quick to condemn the Tea Party movement, when there has been NO record of violence on their part, but you excuse SEIU’s attack on Ken Gladney, and other law-breaking behavior on the part of the left.
Heck- the Tea Party even cleans up it’s own trash, something the left would not or could not do after the G20.

    • Adam says:

Rich. Blake, master of the most illogical, nonsensical arguments I have never seen, tells me I constantly put for illogical arguments. Ha. I needed that laugh…

  7. Big Dog says:

I don’t have any problem with the poor having an equal say in the voting process as long as they equally fund the government. You think that everyone should be allowed to vote but balk at the idea they should have to pay for the government they use in disproportionate amounts. If you want to receive the benefits of being a citizen then you should be paying your fair share.

You libs always say you want to level the playing field. If so then taxpayers must pay the same amount. So the ones paying either pay nothing or those who pay nothing become patriotic and start paying. It is a shame that 47% of the working population is not patriotic.
