Adam, the true purpose and aim of the Tea Party is to dissuade the Republicans from becoming Demo- Lite. We conservatives need a return to fiscal responsibility and adherence to the Constitution, instead of trying to see how many unconstitutional laws can dance on the head of a pin-
If we can "bend the curve" of conservatism back in the right direction, liberals won't stand a chance, because Nobumma and his felonious cronies are outing themselves for the socialistic pols they are.
If the Repubs do not want to toe a constitutionalist approach to government, then you might see a third party indeed.
The money we give to government is still the people's money and we have a right to demand that it be spent responsibly.

Lately I've seen that Rasmussen is bad about hyping a 3rd party movement with the Tea Parties but that isn't really the reality just yet. I guess some really want that but most of these people are more like you, still pushing conservatives in the GOP primary and they'll be smart to continue that.

When Rasmussen polls they find the people most excited about a 3rd party are the Democrats. No surprise there. We both know who will be president in 2012 if a faction of conservatives back a 3rd party.

Still, I wonder if establishment candidates win the primaries in some of these regions we actually will see the Tea Party break off and try to do it away from the GOP.
