The Scooter Libby trial is not yet in full swing and no matter what happens it will disappoint the left. Libby is just a reminder that after all their salivating the Valerie Plame case was a NON issue and that Joe Wilson lied to them. Not one of the people they wanted frog marched out had that happen. Libby was the only casualty and that was because he could not remember certain events. It looks like he might not be in court too much longer because Fitzgerald has a way out.
The judge in the CIA leak case ruled Thursday that if Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald feels that admitting certain classified documents at the upcoming trial of I Lewis “Scooter” Libby can jeopardize national security, Fitzgerald can then move to dismiss the perjury charges against Libby.
Fitzgerald had a way out five days into the investigation when he discovered the source of the so called leak and it turned out to be an accident with no malice. Instead of him or the leaker coming forward with that information they were silent for those few years and wasted millions of tax payer dollars.
Fitz, you need to do what you should have done several years ago. End this thing and move on.
