Erica Jong Predicts Civil War If Obama Loses

What does it say about the supporters of a candidate when people predict they will cause a civil war if their guy loses? Even law enforcement agencies all over the country are preparing for a great deal of civil unrest if Obama loses. You will notice that no one is predicting a civil war or unrest if McCain loses. Maybe the reason that Socialism resonates so well among Obama’s supporters is that his supporters act like people from Socialist nations. Riot when they don’t get what they want. Author and teacher Erica Jong gave an interview in Italy where these interesting items were noted:

Basically, Jong says her fear that Obama might lose the election has developed into an “obsession. A paralyzing terror. An anxious fever that keeps you awake at night.” She also says that her friends Jane Fonda and Naomi Wolf are extremely worried that Obama will be sabotaged by Republican dirty tricks, and that if an Obama loss indeed comes to pass, the result will be a second American Civil War.

Here’s a translation of Jong’s more spirited quotes to the Milan-based Corriere, as selected by Rocca.

“The record shows that voting machines in America are rigged.”

“My friends Ken Follett and Susan Cheever are extremely worried. Naomi Wolf calls me every day. Yesterday, Jane Fonda sent me an email to tell me that she cried all night and can’t cure her ailing back for all the stress that has reduces her to a bundle of nerves.”

“My back is also suffering from spasms, so much so that I had to see an acupuncturist and get prescriptions for Valium.”

“After having stolen the last two elections, the Republican Mafia…”

“If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me. And it’s not a coincidence that President Bush recalled soldiers from Iraq for Dick Cheney to lead against American citizens in the streets.”

“Bush has transformed America into a police state, from torture to the imprisonment of reporters, to the Patriot Act.” The New York Observer

The first thing I want to know is does it bother anyone that the traitor Jane Fonda is losing sleep? This woman betrayed our men and women in uniform during the Vietnam War and there is nothing this maggot can ever do to be worth anything more expensive than a 50 cent bullet.

Isn’t it also interesting that all these liberal twits have to get doped up because they are so worried about the election? Obama has a pretty good lead in the electoral vote count though there are questions about the veracity of the polls that give him the lead. In reality, this will be a close race. The liberals know it and Obama knows it. This is why they are campaigning in states where they supposedly have huge leads. I commented about Pennsylvania just the other day. If his lead were really 10+ points why was he running all over the state? His internals showed something different and yesterday PA was moved from solid Obama to likely Obama. John McCain is also ahead nationally by 1 point on the one day poll. National numbers mean little if the electoral vote does not support them. Right now Obama has an advantage in both.

The race is tight and I do not believe it will be a blow out. However, the liberals are all geared up with the excuses as in Jong’s comments about voting machines and Republicans stealing elections as if Republican John McCain spent nearly a million dollars on some organization such as ACORN to get out the vote. Oh wait, that was Obama and though people say he cannot be saddled with the blame for their illegal activities, he was the one who trained them (a connection he lied about).

Barack Obama might win this election and right now it looks good for him. I still think McCain will pull it out and am expecting a very tight race. However, I am not losing any sleep over this election, I don’t have stress back pains, I don’t take drugs to calm me over it and I won’t riot if McCain loses. If Obama wins we will move forward and see just how many times his toadies have to make excuses for his failure because I am certain he will fail, I pray that he does not but my gut tells me he will. It will be hard to notice because idiots like Olberman will be like Baghdad Bob.

On the other hand, if Obama happens to lose this, say because someone releases the video of him bashing Israel, and Jong is correct about the civil war, well then I am prepared for that as well. I would prefer that people act like Americans and not like Muslims but if that is what happens then Ms. Jong is correct, there will be blood running down the streets.

Even if Obama wins, just knowing that Jong and Fonda and these other Cant Understand Normal Thinking types are having mental problems will be a small consolation. In a near perfect world they all worry so much they stroke out and Obama wins and then they all have to get care under socialized medicine. Maybe Obama will have enacted the Too Old To Live Act where the elderly are killed off in order to compliment his position on babies born after a botched abortion. Then we can watch Obama’s medical system put these people down.

In a perfect world, John McCain wins and they all drop dead of heart attacks. Sauce for the goose would be Olberman and Matthews having strokes on the air getting broadcast all over while they lie in their own vomit and drool on themselves. Now that would be MUST SEE TV.

In any event, if Ms. Jong is trying to scare people into voting for Obama to avoid the civil war, then people should know it is unlikely and they should never be intimidated into voting for someone they might not otherwise vote for. If she is expressing her true beliefs about followers of The Sainted One then it says a lot about the kind of people who follow him. Millions of Iraqis voted in the middle of a war and out founders voted for our Independence knowing it would result in war. I think we can weather some malcontents especially since the people on that side don’t have nearly as many guns.

I am voting for McCain. If he wins and there is unrest then it will be at the risk of those who start it.

Excellent post, Big Dog! When Obama loses this election, we, too, are prepared to defend ourselves if rioting comes to our neighborhood. Bring it on, if you sniveling, whining punks think you can take us. I’m sick of this crap, all this nonsense of trying to bully and intimidate Americans. Who the hell do they think we are? We are the defenders of freedom and the liberators across the world, we can’t be intimidated. Take your best shot, losers. We’ll kick the ever-loving crap out of you!!!!

Patsy, don’t tell your husband, but I think I’m in love with you. You tell them girl. I don’t give a damn what Erica Jong has to say. “Fear of Flying” was at best mediocre which is the reason I’ve never read anything else by her. I’m sure she has only gone down hill. Jane Fonda is an enemy of the state and should have been behind bars a long time ago. There is a difference in protesting, which this great nation gives us the right to do, and giving comfort to the enemy. Jane probably does need drugs to sleep. Her worst nightmare. A resident of Hanoi Hilton while she was visiting North Vietnam now in the White House. Don’t worry Jane. Senator McCain is too honorable a man to do anything to you if he is elected. He has much bigger fish to fry, which is take care of this country. On the other hand, if it were me in his shoes, you might want to take a 4 year world vacation.

One post after talking about misogyny you go and spout off about “Cant Understand Normal Thinking,” pretending that’s really an acronym. It’s very pathetic and sad that the only way you can attack women you disagree with is through sexism.

Why is it that polls unfavorable to McCain are always in question yet one poll out the dozen from the last few days shows McCain ahead by 1 point and there’s hope?

McCain can’t even make his home state a sure bet and you want to pretend Obama is working in PA because he’s afraid? It’s pretty obvious what Obama is doing in PA to everyone thinking rationally about the election. He knows his chances are good there but wants a sure bet. There are four states Obama is leading well but not enough to consider safe: NV, CO, OH, VI. A win in any one of those 4 combined with PA and Obama’s your new commander in chief. My prediction is that all five will go to Obama.

Either way McCain’s being forced to win virtually every state that Obama isn’t leading by 10+ points in right now. Does anybody really believe that is going to happen?

This piece of crap will get into office because of the mass media lying through it’s eye teeth.
I too believe there is a great chance of a civil war and I am ready.

We won’t have to worry because the military will take the sides of true capitalists and patriots.

    Adam,
It is not misogyny to tell the truth about a person. I don’t happen to like HER but I have no hatred for women like Obama does.

I believe I said that national polls mean little and have stated earlier that the polling is tightening because pollsters are using more traditional methods that are more proven rather than making assumptions for which there is no historical basis.

Obama leads in many states. The averages come from many polls and many are from organizations favorable to him. I believe some of the numbers are inflated and this race is a lot closer than the media want you to believe.

They are pushing for Obama to win and will do anything to make that happen.

He has the best shot at winning but it will be very close. This will not be called early, as many have predicted.

I am willing to bet the media will call states when they should not in order to influence the west but this will be close.

Adam, the acronym Big Dog applied to Jane Fonda and her ilk is appropriate and richly deserved. Calling Jane Fonda the “c” word is simply shunning her treason. Personally, I think she should have summarily executed upon return from North Vietnam, with trial. She’s a traitor who collaborated with the enemy. That earns her a bullet between the eyes. In fact, calling Fonda the “c” word is an insult to “c’s” everywhere. She’s the lowest of the low. And anyone who would befriend someone of her lowness is no better than she. Blech!

  7. Kim Spinney says:

    Patsy,
What’s the difference between Hussein, Jr. and Jane Fonda. It is just as bad and in fact, far worse a peron than Hanoi Jane. Very little! It had the gall to spread it’s vicious lies (thanks to the mass ass media and said that the U.S. military was bombing women and civilians. I only wish it would see the light of a bomb (from just a few feet away).

  8. Patsy says:

Well, if we’re going to go down that road, then we better indict Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Murtha and every other traitorous Congressionman & Senator who shot his or her mouths off while we have troops on the battlefield. Hell, a couple of them went abroad to meet with leaders of countries supporting the enemy. There was a time in our history when traitors were prosecuted, convicted and put to death. How far we’ve fallen.

  9. More Civil War Talk, And I Love It…

Most of you know by now I live in the deep southern swamps and I mentioned Hussein’s hopechange racist, America hating babble sparking off a civil war months ago before it became the new “cool” buzz word.  But who listens to me, I……

  10. Mark says:

There can be no peace when terrorists sympathizers (liberals) try to threaten and intimidate patriots. If Obamanation is elected he will push us into a civil war becouse he will erode the civil liberties of those that don’t agree with him.

  11. Steven says:

Any and all supporters are blinded by the message that George Bush is the sole reason for our economy. Well those are the uneducated, the liberal, the fault seekers of the world. None of those people has a decent education, or they have too much education and listened to some idiot at Yale or Harvard talk about economics. Maybe if we didn’t have so many people that did so little work, we wouldn’t have this problem. But the Obama way is to spread the wealth, it doesn’t matter whose it is.

  12. Mark says:

I know just how Jong feels; I’ve been equally worried about the risk of Obama winning. Now that the worst has happened, I’m looking to move on. Know anyone who can use an overweight 54-year-old with a sniper rifle?
