Gary Trudeau of Doonesbury fame is donating the proceeds from his book, The Long Road Home: One Step At A Time, to Fisher House. Fisher House provides low cost housing to families of wounded service members while they are in military treatment facilities. The book sells for $9.95 and this popular cartoonist has already sold thousands of them. This could be a large amount of money for Fisher House.
I recommend that each person buy this book. It will tell the story of D.B. and his injury. He lost a leg in Iraq. It will also help the troops and their families and I can’t think of any better reason to buy it.
