That's FUNNY Barbara!!! it's funny because YOU are the one judging, and if were a TRUE CHRISTIAN then you would know that "YOU SHALL NOT JUDGE". Even though you state that the Lord will Judge it seems that you have Tried, Prosocuted, Convicted, and given them a ONE-WAY ticket to Hell. But I guess it's ok for YOU the "Christian" to do the Lord's work and "JUDGE" others right?

What I find troubling, but predictable, is the fact that freedom of speech seems to only go one way. Perez, no matter who you are, not everyone will agree with you just to curry favor, and the truest friends may be found in those with whom you might often disagree, but whom are telling the truth. Whether you want to hear it or not doesn't make it any less true, it just makes you more pigheaded when you refuse to ignore it.
Listen, if everyone agreed, it would make for a really boring life, and you would miss out on some truly cool knowledge that might not jive with any preconceived notions, but might just open up new avenues of thought.

As I understand it, Miss California went to a conservative Christian college. Then her answer is not surprising. Also not surprising is Perez Hilton's reaction to response. What I can't understand, however, is the response from Shanna Moakler, director of the Miss California pageant. Hello Shanna. You should have seen this coming.

First I think it is a shame that this young woman is being criticized for an honest answer to a somewhat loaded question. I agree that if you don't want the answer don't ask the question. The question portion is supposed to be an interview of the person, a "glimpse" into their mind based on their response(s). How can one's opinion be wrong? It can't - she's entitled to it and I think she should be proud of sticking to her beliefs - whether Hilton or the pageant committee likes it or not.

Second, the whole gay marriage thing is way out of control if you ask me. They got equal rights - there are numerous ways to ensure that domestic partners are given the same benefits and customary courtesies as married couples. In fact, most times people bend over backwards more for a same sex couple for fear of insulting them rather than a regular married couple because hey, who cares what they think, right? This is a waste of time indeed. The people have spoken and the homosexual community needs to take heed and stop trying to force their beliefs into the mainstream. They are getting their equal rights so what it is called should not be a big deal. For crying out loud, get over it. Time to move on and get your panties back in place.

yes, LC, and there's where it gets contentious. Peoples' religions are special to those people, and when you mess with them, you are likely to get a reaction akin to stepping on a cats tail.
The thing was, as I see it, totally unnecessary - the Gays and their supporters just seemed to want to stir things up.
I have, on my property, a hornet's nest that is about twice the size of a football, hanging in a tree.
Wouldn't you rightly call me a fool if I threw a rock at the nest, just to see what the reaction was?
This was the same kind of thing, with much the same result.
Now there are lines in the sand that should have not been necessary, but here we are.

What's the difference between a 'marriage' and a legally recognized domestic partnership?

The former is a religious idea, the latter secular, beyond that, nothing.

So what all these "separation of church and state" Liberals want is to impose a secular definition on a religious value.

Hypocrites.

While I disagree with the gay community on this, I also believe the definition of marriage is between a man and a woman.
Do I think that gays should have equal rights when it comes to the law and how it is applied to partners in a relationship? Yes. I believe that civil unions are the way to handle this situation, but nooooooooo.
The gay community decided to be stupid AND obstinate- a very bad combo. They should have known ( because, after all, they are supposed to be a sensitive group, right?) that poking a finger in the eye of a group of fundamentalist people, by insisting on calling for marriage was the dumbest move i've seen in quite some time.
If they had accepted civil unions, and people had decided the world didn't end, then they might have pushed for more, but they had to have it all, and have it now. Impatience has been the death of many a cause, worthy or not.
Now, there are things I do not agree with, but that being said, I'm not sure this problem is where people should concentrate their time and temper- there are other issues that impact the Constitution and the people than this distraction.
Barama is imitating a magician very well, by distracting attention from the central item, government control.
GE's new "smart grid" tech will allow the govt. to track how much energy you use and on what. They could even alter your consumption of energy by denying you the ability to have your home at the temperature you want it, all by issuing energy demerits, or charging an onerous tax on "excess" energy used.
By taking a stake in banks, they might track your purchases, and build a database on you and your neighbors.
The computer database for pharmaceuticals that is in use now, could be used to track your use of medicines.
Your privacy is gone- if you look at how they feel about the tea parties, your right to free speech is going- if you look at how they are demonizing the gun industry, by skewing data, they are beginning their assault on the second amendment.
Oh, its a multi-pronged assault, to be sure, designed to have us spinning in all directions.
Freedoms of speech, to bear arms, a free press, religion- all of these are under siege. If you choose not to believe this, you are blind, deaf, and dumb, or you are a liberal. There's not much middle ground here, unfortunately.

We are coming into a time when christians are going to have to stand up for their beliefs, and will be persecuted for going against the liberals. I wish she had been stronger in her reply, since any answer against gay marriage was going to lose the pageant for her. I wish all these losers could realize that they will stand before our Lord in judgement, whether they believe in Him or not, and boy, are they going to be shocked.
