In this 7 minute Message Pastor Dennis discusses the recent removal of some of the works of Dr. Seuss. The topic is about judging things that were introduced decades (or more than a century) ago by the standards of today and how foolish that is. We have come a long way from the days where this kind of disgusting stuff happened (yes I describe it as disgusting by today’s standard BUT I realize that it was a different time). AGAIN: Warning the image can be offensive. I remember hearing about the “N-(word) baby” food brand, the “N-word boy” licorice candy cigarettes [just use your favorite search engine and you can see for yourself] and a lot of other disgusting things that were part of the culture then, and accepted then. We cannot judge things from then by the mores of today. Think of the brilliant works of literature that would go away if we judged some of the content by the standards of NOW. We can learn from these books and other items.
