Dems Reenact “Dumb and Dumber”

The Democrats can’t stop shooting themselves in the foot, so to speak. Last month, DNC Chairman Howard Dean managed to alienate a large voting block by insinuating that hotel staff was all African American. His speech elicited demands for apologies from various African American groups and leaders. Some even called for his resignation.

“You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? ” Dean asked. “Only if they had the hotel staff in here.”

This week, it’s Senator Byrd’s turn. He alienated another traditionally Democratic group — the Jewish contingency. Byrd likened Republicans and their push to streamline the strangled judicial nominee process to the rise of Hitler. Of course, this comes from a man formerly a member of the Klu Klux Klan. Two Jewish groups strongly criticized his characterization yesterday and questioned Byrd’s understanding of the Nazi movement.

After two failed presidential elections and losses in the House and Senate, you would think Dems would be thinking twice before they open their mouth. . . . Sorry, I forgot about Hillary Clinton. She’s thinking three or four times, these days, before she opens her mouth. She wants to be perfectly positioned to run in the 2008 Presidential election.

According to FNC, Senator Ted Kennedy staff removed his now infamous speech regarding the then-impending Iraqi elections from his Web site. In this speech, Kennedy said: “Our military and the insurgents are fighting for the same thing—the hearts and minds of the people — and that is a battle we are not winning.” Another misstep recognized by the party bigwigs as the Iraqi people have begun to demonstrate against the terrorists.

“Thousands of mostly black-clad Iraqis protested Tuesday outside a medical clinic where a suicide car bomber killed 125 people a day earlier, braving the threat of another attack as they waved clenched fists, condemned foreign fighters and chanted ‘No to terrorism!’ ” — AP via FNC

It’s no wonder the Dems now want children and felons to vote. They’ve managed to offend so much of their voting base that they need to supplant the offended with new, fresh numbers. Many of whom may not bother to read a newspaper or listen to a news broadcast – minds that can be easily swayed by baseless argument and high-blown rhetoric. If they’ve managed to alienate loyal voting blocks, one can only imagine what it’s doing to the Independent and swing vote. It almost makes one feel sorry for the Dems. . . almost.
