Bigd: "Did you cut out the part where he asks for 5 or 10 dollars>>

DAR
I quoted the email in it's entirety. There was no appeal for money.

Bigd: "what is it about the source [Wash. Times] that bothers you?>>

DAR
I didn't say anything about having a problem with the quote or the source in this instance. I'm just glad to see the Moonie Times go.

From their wiki blurb:

"The Washington Times was founded in 1982 by Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon[1], who has said that he is the Messiah and the Second Coming of Christ and is fulfilling Jesus' unfinished mission.[2][3]... In 1996 Moon discussed his reasons for founding the Times in an address to a Unification Church leadership conference, saying "That is why Father has been combining and organizing scholars from all over the world, and also newspaper organizations, in order to make propaganda."[5] In 2002 Moon said: "The Washington Times is responsible to let the American people know about God" and "The Washington Times will become the instrument in spreading the truth about God to the world."

DAR
And by "God," he means Him, personally. If you think Sun Myung Moon "is the Messiah and the Second Coming of Christ" then it's probably a pretty good rag for you.

D.
-------------------
"Conservative-turned-liberal writer David Brock, who worked for the Times' sister publication Insight on the News,... wrote "the Washington Times was governed by a calculatedly unfair political bias and that its journalistic ethics were close to nil." --ibid

Yeah, you and a million other people on his campaign list. Did you cut out the part where he asks for 5 or 10 dollars to fight the smears of evil Republicans?

All papers except the WSJ are going under but don't worry the gubmint will bail them out. Once you fascists have all the media you will be able to tell any lie you want.

But tell me, what is it about the source that bothers you? I mean, the quote was there and he said it.

Or are you on Senator Whitehouse's side because he told Republicans they were bad people for not voting to fund the troops? He got those Repubs didn't he?

It had to make you warm and tingly when he was able to tell them this:

"The lowest of the low was the Republican vote against funding and supporting our troops in the field in a time of war. As a device to stall health care, they tried to stop the appropriation of funds for our soldiers. There is no excuse for that. From that there is no return. "

The bill has to be reconciled in the House and Senate and then still needs 60 votes. Let's see if they can come up with something that all their liberals can vote for and do it without costing more seats. Looks like they are in danger in a seat that was considered safe...

Obama wrote me an email this morning, about these same things you talk about. Here is what he said.

Sounds pretty good to me!

Oh, and the Washington (Moonie) Times you quote? They're going Kaput.

Maybe there is a God after all?*
