We have listened to the left wing lunatics for three years now and all they have told us is that WMD did not exist in Iraq. We have been told that we were lied into war and that Hussein, being the nice guy he is, got rid of all his WMD when he was told to do so. It was all the evil Bushies who cooked this up with phony satellite pictures and half baked intelligence. After all, Joe Wilson told us it was a lie.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, joined Congressman Peter Hoekstra, (R-MI-2), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, today to make a major announcement regarding the release of newly declassified information that proves the existence of chemical munitions in Iraq since 2003. The information was released by the Director of National Intelligence, John Negroponte, and contained an unclassified summary of analysis conducted by the National Ground Intelligence Center. In March, Senator Santorum began advocating for the release of these documents to the American public.“The information released today proves that weapons of mass destruction are, in fact, in Iraq,†said Senator Santorum. “It is essential for the American people to understand that these weapons are in Iraq. I will continue to advocate for the complete declassification of this report so we can more fully understand the complete WMD picture inside Iraq.â€
The following are the six key points contained in the unclassified overview:
• Since 2003 Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent.
• Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist.
• Pre-Gulf War Iraqi chemical weapons could be sold on the black market. Use of these weapons by terrorists or insurgent groups would have implications for Coalition forces in Iraq. The possibility of use outside Iraq cannot be ruled out.
• The most likely munitions remaining are sarin and mustard-filled projectiles.
• The purity of the agent inside the munitions depends on many factors, including the manufacturing process, potential additives, and environmental storage conditions. While agents degrade over time, chemical warfare agents remain hazardous and potentially lethal.
• It has been reported in open press that insurgents and Iraqi groups desire to acquire and use chemical weapons.
The first question we need to ask is how long has Bush and his people known this? If they have been finding them since 2003 then they were keeping it a secret. Do you suppose that is because they did not want the terrorists to know that the WMD are still there? Perhaps they did not want them actively looking for them. Bush would keep a secret like that, the donks would not.
We also need to know how many red faced Democrats will now apologize and say the President was correct. I want to know if Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, Dean and the rest of the moonbats who have been playing that broken record will now come out and say “OK, you were right.” Hell will freeze over before that happens.
Here is what you will hear in the next few days:
- Santorum is in trouble with his electorate so he did this to help his reelection
- George Bush deliberately withheld this information to make the donks look bad. If he did that would be a pretty smart thing to do, especially for a man they all claim is dumber than a box of rocks.
- The US planted them there
- These are old items and don’t count
- 500? Is that the best you can do?
- This is a trick by Bush. He is also holding bin Laden and will pretend to capture him just before the next election
There are multiple sources on this and they show that there is information but it is classified. Santorum is working on getting more of it declassified. I would love to see the faces of the Democrats tonight. This had to be a real blow to them. They planned to use this lied us to war mantra all the way up to election day. I am happy that these items have been found and will be even happier when we have some definitive proof that the other WMD went to Syria.
