Danny Glover Is A Whack Job

Actor Danny Glover has stated that the reason there was an earthquake in Haiti is because world leaders failed to act in Copenhagen. I assume he is not talking about divine intervention in this issue. It seems to me as if he is saying that if only those world leaders had come up with a plan it would have changed the earth so fast (assuming it could actually change the world at all) that this earthquake would not have happened.

This view is slightly different from that of Pat Robertson who claimed it was divine intervention as punishment for Haiti making a deal with the devil. Not really sure which of these two has lost touch the most.

While it is certainly possible that Haiti was punished for making a deal with the devil I don’t know how Pat would be privy to the details of such a deal to know it took place.

If we believe that man made global warming is real and causes earthquakes then we would have to really have a leap of faith to also believe that an agreement a month ago could have averted disaster.

Maybe we need to focus on helping the people in Haiti and stop pointing fingers. I mean, who do these people think they are, members of the Obama administration?

Besides, after America voted Obama in I don’t want to think about punishment for dealing with the devil.

This is the most ridiculous smear I’ve seen in a while.

You can clearly tell by the full quote that Glover is saying that this region is in peril from global warming and that the disaster we’re seeing from the earthquake is a the scale of disaster as we’ll see all through the Caribbean from climate change.

It’s not the best articulated message but to suggest Glover thinks global warming caused the earthquake or that a climate change agreement would have prevented this disaster is stupid and without merit.

This is the anti-global warming noise machine kicking into high gear to distort those who have a voice in this thing.

Not the “best articulated message”? Adam, actually LISTEN to the man- this is why I can’t even watch a Glover movie- I keep hearing idiocy such as this in my mind’s ear- the same for Clooney, Damon, and some others- their sheer ignorance has bled over into their acting, to the point where I can’t separate the two- and that is a bad sign for idiots as they are.
They are minstrels, jesters for our amusement- and WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND TAKES SERIOUS ADVICE FROM A JESTER?
Noone who truly wants to lead.

      • Adam says:

“WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND TAKES SERIOUS ADVICE FROM A JESTER?”

Right you are. I won’t be forwarding your advice on to Glover then with that in mind.

        • Blake says:

That’s good- he’s dumber than a box of rocks- I wonder how he can read a script- Phonics, perhaps? Or an asst. who whispers into a hearing aid?
Regardless, my advice would fall on deaf ears- as they do yours.

All of this because of global warming is a statement that pretty much sums it up. Smear job? How much more can Glover smear his country by saying we need to step up and give more and that this could be a defining moment for the administration. Like Clinton and Bush said, no time for politics on this. He made the statement about stepping it up like Cuba and some other nations.

Like in all disaster the US will give the most and provide the most.

Glover needs to ask where the oil rich Middle East nations are. None have donated any money. Could it be that most Haitians are Christian?

And this pretty much sums it up:

“When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?”

Global warming did not cause this despite what that moron Glover says. He needs to go back to Venezuela with his buddy Hugo.

No matter how arrogant idiots like him and the alarmists become, we cannot stop earthquakes. We cannot stop nature.

But he did say that we have not acted fast enough. Should Kanye West go on TV and say Barack Obama hates black people?

    • Adam says:

Again, he was not saying anything like you or any on the right is claiming. He was not blaming the earthquake on global warming. He was simply saying the threat is real and we need a strong response and partnership for this disaster because there will be more disasters on this scale in the future in this region.

    It’s just breathtaking dishonesty.

    • Big Dog says:

It is breathtakingly dishonest to infer earthquakes are the result of global warming and that the failure in Copenhagen is the reason for this.

      • Adam says:

Right, if only Glover had actually said that.

      • Darrel says:

I wondered why he didn’t provide the Glover quote. Now we know.

The same reason we didn’t get the quote on Reid supposedly calling Clarence Thomas an “incompetent negro.” (it doesn’t exist).

        • Big Dog says:

The Glover quote is at the site and in the video. Just listen.

I know it is tough for you morons on the left to admit that a liberal idiot like Glover is saying stupid stuff but it happens all the time.

Maybe the next time there is a global warming earthquake Glover will be in it. Tell him to go there and help or sit back and shut up. Matter of fact, either way he needs to shut up. Like all the morons who blamed Katrina on global warming.

        • Adam says:

Plenty of liberal idiots say stupid stuff. Rosie O’Donnell for instance and her melted steel BS. If this were one of those cases I’d be the first to say so. Glover did not blame the earthquake on global warming. Stop lying.

  4. Barbara says:

If in the past Haiti did sell their souls to the devil in order to get out of a situation, then it is a result of the curse that would be affecting them and not anything God is doing. Blame needs to be put where it is and that is with the devil, not God, but God does not go against man’s free will.

    • Darrel says:

Ah, Satan has already responded to Robertson’s assertion and he sets the record straight. Here is a copy of that correspondence:

      ***
      Dear Pat Robertson,

I know that you know that all press is good press, so I appreciate the shout-out. And you make God look like a big mean bully who kicks people when they are down, so I’m all over that action.

But when you say that Haiti has made a pact with me, it is totally humiliating. I may be evil incarnate, but I’m no welcher. The way you put it, making a deal with me leaves folks desperate and impoverished.

Sure, in the afterlife, but when I strike bargains with people, they first get something here on earth — glamour, beauty, talent, wealth, fame, glory, a golden fiddle. Those Haitians have nothing, and I mean nothing. And that was before the earthquake. Haven’t you seen “Crossroads”? Or “Damn Yankees”?

If I had a thing going with Haiti, there’d be lots of banks, skyscrapers, SUVs, exclusive night clubs, Botox — that kind of thing. An 80 percent poverty rate is so not my style. Nothing against it — I’m just saying: Not how I roll.

You’re doing great work, Pat, and I don’t want to clip your wings — just, come on, you’re making me look bad. And not the good kind of bad. Keep blaming God. That’s working. But leave me out of it, please. Or we may need to renegotiate your own contract.

      Best, Satan

Glover’s a pos and has been for years. He’s also clearly brazenly incompetent. This is just the latest proof. I’d tell Glover to focus on making movies, but when was the last time he made one worth seeing?
