Congratulations!

Image 1Congratulations to my nephew Ryan. Ryan graduated from high school today in a great ceremony that I was honored to attend. This was not your usual graduation in that the speakers, most of whom were politicians, were generally brief. They said the standard things and used some of the old cliches but they had good messages and sound advice for the graduates.

I hope that the class of 2006 is the next best generation of people and that it gives us cures for diseases that have plagued man for years. But before they do that we are going to have to make sure they are out of bed before noon!

My advice to the graduates, be safe. When I went to my 5 year reunion, some of my classmates (I think five) died (one died of leukemia a month before graduation but was on the list). As I read through the class information for my old school the most common causes of deaths in the student and graduate population are accidents and suicides (for all graduating classes). You are not invincible, so be careful.

So once again, congratulations to Ryan and all the graduates of his high school.

    To Big Dog,

Your nephew was truly taken back and grateful. One, for you being at his graduation and two, posting this to your website. As his mother, thank you for sharing this special moment in his life and ours as we are all very proud of him.
You could not have said it better for all graduates, BE SAFE.
