Classic Filibuster

Bernie Sanders, as I write this, has been talking for 6+ hours on the Senate floor to prevent voting on, well, anything. While he’s babbling on about how wonderful socialism is, and how bad it is that any people have something that others don’t, I love the classic filibuster. That’s how you’re supposed to filibuster — get up there and talk. The “new” filibuster, where a Senator just claims they’re doing it is crap. Keep babbling, Bernie!

I hope he goes for a week so they can’t get anything done. The less they do, the better off (in general) people are.

I was thinking about writing on this. Sanders is proposing a tax increase on those who make a million dollar or more and then using the money for Social Security.

We pay taxes for Social Security and they should not raise income taxes and then use them for Social Security. This is particularly true when one considers that the people who make that much money are capped at how much they can get in SS, if they will get it at all.

Eventually they will use means testing and those who paid in and then were successful will receive nothing. They will be paying for someone else’s retirement and that is just flat out wrong.

Of course, Sander is a Socialist and the first word in that program is Social.

If it needs more money then raise that tax rate so everyone feels the pain.

This just shows what a failure SS is.

I might also add that they are reducing SS rates by about 2% for a year. Why do that only to try and make it up by taxing the rich?

Keep it what it is or raise it so everyone who works and will draw it can feel the pain.

I am very thankful that my parents taught me the value of saving money.

I was trying not to listen to his ramblings much. Most of what I heard was him literally whining that some people have things, while others don’t. He’s an open socialist — he wants to punish those who produce and reward those who don’t. That’s what he thinks government should use force to do. He has horrible, destructive, evil ideas — I just liked that he had the guts to stand up and filibuster.

He does not understand that the money a person earns belongs to the person who earned it. Most liberals are like that which is why they think they can dictate how much others can afford. Remember, nothing is stopping them from donating their money to pay off the debt. They can do so at the Treasury website.

Politicians can speak for hours and say nothing- just look at Bubba Clinton- but I have to admit, Bernie was probably just exercising his pipes- if you don’t walk the dog, at some point, the dog will come back on you.

Ahhhh- Weekends With Bernie- he makes about as much sense as what’s his name- ah- Tony Weiner- an apt name if there ever was one.
Both of them asshats of the third degree.
