Cindy Sheehan Is Really An Idiot

Cindy Sheehan, fresh off her Crawford tour, has a long piece at Huffington’s post. In it the idiot says some really stupid things. There is also some reference to her being involved in stealing supplies from a Red Cross truck I don’t know what that is about but I hope it lands her in jail.

Here is one bit of the lunacy:

One thing that truly troubled me about my visit to Louisiana was the level of the military presence there. I imagined before that if the military had to be used in a CONUS (Continental US) operations that they would be there to help the citizens: Clothe them, feed them, shelter them, and protect them. But what I saw was a city that is occupied. I saw soldiers walking around in patrols of 7 with their weapons slung on their backs. I wanted to ask one of them what it would take for one of them to shoot me. Sand bags were removed from private property to make machine gun nests.

The vast majority of people who were looting in New Orleans were doing so to feed their families or to get resources to get their families out of there. If I had a store with an inventory of insured belongings, and a tragedy happened, I would fling my doors open and tell everyone to take what they need: it is only stuff. When our fellow citizens are told to “shoot to kill” other fellow citizens because they want to stay alive, that is military and governmental fascism gone out of control. What I saw today in Algiers lifted up my spirits, but what I also saw today in Algiers frightened me terribly.

I am so happy this woman is able to vault to some sort of fame from her son’s death. The wrong Sheehan met with demise. Let us get a few things straight though there will still be some who believe this mindless prattle. Cindy when martial law is declared then the military is in charge. I am not it ever was but you said it was in your post. Assuming that is true then their job is to keep law and order. Your assertion about the looting is laughable. You are correct that some people were stealing food and water. But I saw the news and I can tell you that many people were stealing things you can not eat. No one there was going to eat electrical appliances or clothes. Jewelry is not part of a good diet. Resources to get their families out of there? No one I saw was stealing a boat. And the aforementioned items are not good for escape.

Yes, the military had orders to shoot and I believe it was intended for the people who were being violent and shooting at people. I also think that order was given by local officials, not federal, though I could be mistaken about that. There might have been orders to shoot looters, like the ones carrying TVs. That is what happens when anarchy breaks out. As for store owners. I saw on the news where one said that all someone had to do was ask and the doors would have been opened. Also, the looting took place soon after the storm. People were not “starving” to death that quickly and there would have been time to get a store owner there. I am however, touched by your compassion in that you would have given it away if it were insured. A decent person would give it away regardless.

This kind of crap is the reason I have made so many posts about where the blame lies. I point out that there is enough blame to go around but the MSM and idiots like Sheehan and Moore give the impression that state and local officials have no culpability. I try to give balance because of posts by unbalanced people. Cindy said she wanted to go ask a soldier what it would take for him to shoot her. Though many of them might think you deserve it they would not shoot you unless you were a threat. They would not do it because of something you lack; personal discipline.

I am not linking to Huffington. It might encourage you to read that crap.
