A reporter identified as Brenda Lee of the Georgia Informer was physically removed from an area set aside for reporters who were awaiting the arrival of Air Force One and its celebrated Socialist. Lee asked a Secret Service Agent to give a letter to The Sainted Won and she was referred to a White House staffer who refused to take the letter.
Lee then stated she would wait and hope that The Won came close enough for her to hand him the letter. This did not go over well with the storm troopers so they asked her to leave. She left and was given permission to return by police officers. Perhaps her press credentials (she claims to have White House press credentials) convinced them that she should be allowed in.
Then she was again asked to leave and when she refused she was physically removed. She was carried by her arms and legs, kicking and screaming. Her biggest concern at the time was that people could see under her clothes.
What was the letter she was trying to get to The Won?
The letter was a plea to Obama to take a stand for traditional marriage.

We can hardly allow any loon to come forward and hand a president a potentially anthrax laden letter.

The fact that she also has bigoted feelings against gays or lefthanded people or whatever, gives her no special right of access.

What happened was heavy- handed and needn’t have happened that way- it was an overreaction, and typical of liberals and BHO- if Bush’s detail had done this, you would have had people screaming about abuse of the press.

One does not trump the other.
So maybe, and this is just a maybe, they could take the letter and then get rid of it later and keep from making a scene.
As for anthrax, if they were concerned about anthrax then they should have been concerned about everyone there who would have a much better chance of being infected than Obama.
And the entire anthrax issue is blown out of proportion. The average citizen can’t get any that would be able to be weaponized. But, if they thought it was an issue they should have gotten the letter to prevent the spread.
A nil argument. That was not the concern.
The idea that her opinions are bigoted are just you opinion and you know what they say about opinions.
She is entitled to hers and no one says she should have special access. Though some people obviously do based on their beliefs matching up with the sainted won.
I am not saying she was right or wrong, only that it was handled poorly. Take the letter and get rid of it later. She feels good and you prevented a scene.
As for gay marriage, the voters of CA decided they did not want that. Why is it that we are supposed to accept Obama because a majority voted for him but reject the ban on gay marriage when a majority voted for the ban?

The secret service has rules about such things and I am sure it involves not accepting things from the public to pass along to anyone.
She was told to leave, she didn’t leave, she was removed. That’s protocol around the president.
Especially a Resident that is as skittish as this one.

She would not give it to the staffer. If the SS was worried about anthrax or anything else they could have taken it.
She left the first time and was allowed back in. You simplify it and make it sound as if she refused to leave. She left the first time and was allowed back in. She did nothing wrong after that but was told to leave and then she refused.
No one is defending her actions other than to say it was handled poorly.
Actually, IF YOU HAD READ what was written you would have seen that she didn’t refuse to give the letter, the staffer refused to TAKE it

If this is how his camp treats people who support Obama, those of us who oppose & disapprove don’t have a damn prayer.
I don’t recall the story saying she supported him though she is part of the media and black. Nearly all media and about 93% of blacks supported him so it is a good guess but I can’t make that leap.

That youth white vote is what’s going to pay dividends in the future.

96%. If Obama had lost because 96% of whites supported him we would be called a racist nation and whites would be taken to task.
Obviously, they supported him because he is a Democrat first. If he had been a conservative Republican he would never have made it.
However, this is up and it means that many people voted for him because he is black which, as I have stated, is just as good a reason as any. I have no problems with people who voted against him because he is black.
Young voter voted for a young guy over an older one. The young are going to pay for the policies so I will be sure to take them to task when they complain.
It is funny, I have had a few calls from organizations I supported in the past (with donations). Some of them I know made it public that they supported Obama (though they have to be careful how they do it). I ask some of the people who call me who they voted for and they say Obama (I usually do it by saying how about how Obama is doing? I use the way they respond to get to the voting issue).
I tell them I will no longer be supporting them and to take me off the calling list. Then I get the speech about how every little bit helps blah blah. I just tell them that elections have consequences and I will no longer support them. It is amazing how deflated they are.
My two children did not vote for him. They were raised better than the hand out gimme kids of today.
She said she refused to give the letter to the staffer. I don’t know if he refused and then said he would and then she refused because it is not stated.
