Oh, I do not believe she will run- I think she is just going to raise money for the Conservative causes.
What I WISH she wold do is go around the country "endorsing" Democratic candidates- they would be sooooooo busy trying to disavow themselves of her endorsements that they couldn't get anything else done,
Now THAT would be entertainment.

BLK: "If there’s no threat, why the disproportionate response to her?"

DAR
Was the response to Dan Quayle disproportionate? He was a silly man that said silly things. A punchline. So people make jokes. Bush was just as bad or worse, but his mistakes weren't funny and now we all pay. Palin is Bush and Quayle with lipstick (and no power).

Run her at your peril.

If she is no threat, just ignore her- but y'all can't seem to, and that's kind of funny to me.

BLK: "wouldn’t bother demonizing her [Palin] if she did not represent a threat to them.">>

DAR
The idea that Palin could represent a threat is not an idea I can take seriously. But I really do try because I know there are many, like you, who for some reason really believe this.

When has Palin ever been anything other than a gift that keeps on giving to her political opponents? She has a small and ardent following but at the same time has a group much larger that can't stand her. She is *unelectable* on the national level.

Here is the effect she had on the GOP ticket:

Independents:
More likely to support: 16%
Less likely: 32%
No diff: 50%

All voters:
More likely to support: 18%
Less likely to support: 24%
No difference: 56%

"...her selection only had a net positive effect on support for the Republican ticket among white evangelicals, with a net negative effect among white Catholics and Independents..."

<a href="http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/07/palin-polarizer.html" rel="nofollow">Link</a>.

This is something to fear? No I don't think so.

D.
--------------
Paul Begala on Palin:

"Her statement was incoherent, bizarre and juvenile. The text, as posted on Gov. Palin's official website (here), uses 2,549 words and 18 exclamation points. Lincoln freed the slaves with 719 words and nary an exclamation; Mr. Jefferson declared our independence in 1,322 words and, again, no exclamation points. Nixon resigned the presidency in 1,796 words -- still no exclamation points. Gov. Palin capitalized words at random - whole words, like "TO," "HELP," and "AND," and the first letter of "Troops."

Gov. Palin's official announcement that she is resigning as chief executive of the great state of Alaska had all the depth and gravitas of a 13-year-old's review of the Jonas Brothers' album on Facebook. She even quoted her parents' refrigerator magnet. She put her son's name in quotations marks. Why? Who knows. She writes, "I promised efficiencies and effectiveness!?" Was she exclaiming or questioning? I get it: both!"

Liberal- Think (first, it is an oxymoron) says if we JUST spend MORE on our schools, we will get a better child. That has been proven false time and again, as we spend more per student than almost any other country, with poorer results.
Not much bang for the buck, but once again, (as with the stimulus) Liberal socialists say that more money will SURELY solve the problem.
It won't but that doesn't bother them- they are not results- oriented ( that would be judgmental, and that might hurt someone's feelings). What Bullsh**.

Two years ago the liberals were not scared of Sarah.
Alaskans call it, "Sarahphobia," a more truthful sobriequet than the oft-used but rarerly accurate "homophobe," that liberals love to spew out at random rump rutting freenzies.

But liberals can and do top this!
Here is just one example;
The University of California, called "...the premier public university in the United States" by By KEVIN O'LEARY at yahoo.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20090718/us_time/08599191145500

But hidden inside is a very telling fact of life about liberal education;

UC's tem campus' will, because of governemnt subsidy cuts, have to reduce their budgets by 20%.
I quote the article, "...the cut in state funding brings the amount of state investment in the University down to $2.4 billion - exactly where it was in real dollars a decade ago."

They loss 20% and it takes them back ten years. OK. Fine

Then the article says, "During the same time period, spending on state prisons has more than doubled to $11 billion."

What is that telling us?
Simple! As liberal systems progress, there gets to be more criminals, and more expensive ways of cattering to them.

How can this be seen as anything but black-and-white evidence of the failure of liberal thought, politics and education?
20% more spent on liberal universities results in 100% more prison costs.

Yep, liberals are the problem, and Albert Einstein said, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
Apply this liberal thinking to liberal thinking, and you have a pretty good idea of the problem.

The liberal eggheads wouldn't bother demonizing her if she did not represent a threat to them. She represents all the "regular" people these pseudo- intellectuals abhor, and they know they are lost if someone manages to rally the majority of the electorate.
It is their greatest fear- that everyone votes- because then they WILL lose.

I can't understand why Alaska would have anything to do with this holiday.

I also can't understand what standing a person in DC has, assuming the person is not a citizen of Alaska.

Maybe we can all start suing other states for the stuff they fail to do.

It is ridiculous and continues to get even more so.

She should have vetoed the legislation anyway.
