Bush Is Wrong

News and Views has an interesting story about the appease fire between Israel and Hezbollah.

Speaking at the State Department on Monday, President George W. Bush praised the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 on Lebanon as “an important step forward that will help bring an end to the violence.” In an optimistically intoned address he claimed that Hizbollah was defeated because a “robust international force” and the Lebanese Army will “restore the sovereignty of its democratic government all Lebanese territory” and stop Hezbollah from acting as a state within the state.

Mr. Bush is wrong on all counts.

Go there and read why Bush is wrong on all counts…

Can’t you lose your Republican membership card for saying “Bush is wrong”? 😛

    Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

    I of course agree.

  2. Big Dog says:

Of course not. I have said Bush is wrong on many things like ILLEGALs coming in here.

Bush had to say the deal was great blah blah but I don’t.

Republicans are the party of tolerance. We let others say what they want, not like the Democrats who only believe in free speech as long as it agrees with them.

Thanks for the comment. Are you saying that Bush was wrong about agreeing to end a conflict? Now this is big news because if he is wrong and you agree that means you were for Israel continuing to kill terrorists. It is unlike you to agree with anything that involves the use of force. Are you feeling OK????

  3. N. Mallory says:

Oh, no, I just mean he’s wrong. 😉

For starters, he keeps insisting Hezbollah lost. The Arab world seem to disagree. Personally, I kind of think everyone lost; all of those people on both sides of the border are dead and those two Israeli soldiers are still captive, which is supposedly what started it.

And, no, I’m not feeling well…

Actually it depends upon the criteria, as I talked about on my radio show Friday, Israel won the fighting part. They broke more stuff and killed more people and Hezbollah was running for the hills begging for the cease fire. Israel lost in the court of public opinion. Hezbollah was good and recycling dead babies and making it look so horrible that they won in the minds of the people watching. They also declared victory but make no mistake if only one Hezbollah guy was left standing they would have declared victory and all the Arab world would agree.

That is how they operate and it is how they get others to join. They stir people into a frenzy and make them believe things that are not true. Israel should have said screw the world and Kofi Anus and fought until Hezbollah was gone. Then there would be no question. Why have a cease fire, as I predicted about previous resoultions, the Arabs never honor the deals they make. There will be fighting again because of it and Israel will have gotten what it deserves for showing weakness to those who consider it a place to attack.

We will suffer the same if we leave Iraq. They will declare victory and they will come here even bolder and attack us and no one should cry. I would not entertain discussion from anyone affected especially if they advocated cutting and running. They will have gotten what they were told they would get. Then we should march on DC and publicly hang any politician who did this to us.

I’ll say it Bush was dead wrong, on at least 3 counts.
Iraq, rebuilding a nation in the middle of a war is dumb as a bag of hammers. Unless you feel that Iraq was the final nation in the war. Iran and Syria and N. Korea are still active.

    Illegal Immigration. Wrong

Israel, Dead wrong and by dead I mean this appeasment philosophy is going to cause the next conflict to be far more brutal and bloody than it would have been had it been finished now.

Bush is running our foreign policy like a ten year old. IMO. He is still doing better than the alternatives we had in either election.
