Obama Priorities

So, have you heard Obama’s latest priorities? He says that he will pay for killing people in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya; he will pay big corporations; he will pay Chinese holders of US debt — and he will pay all of those (and lots more) before he will pay American citizens their social security incomes.

Nice, job, Obama. Sadly, I bet this tactic will work, as he will scare the older Americans into supporting putting more debt on the backs of today’s children. A true leader, one who actually cared about America, would be telling the Chinese, “Gee, we don’t have the money.” Or he’d tell Europe, “Hey, we can’t afford all these interventions.” But no, instead, Obama goes with the tried and true Democrat political theme: “We have nothing to offer but fear itself.”

More TSA Rights Violations

Get ready, they’re going to do more soon. After all, there’s an “unnamed source” providing “no specific information” that terrorists are going to start surgically implanting bombs to blow up airplanes. Therefore, since this is such a new, dire threat, I will be rather surprised if the TSA doesn’t start some new procedure in further violation of the fourth amendment. Ron Paul is trying to allow Americans to retain their rights and dignity, but I’d bet that most Congressmen honestly don’t give a damn. I know mine doesn’t, based on his response to my letters. I hardly ever use the word “hate” these days, as I don’t like to hate. But I hate the TSA and all the people who willingly do that job.

What If No One Noticed…

So what if the government shut down and no one noticed? I mentioned this idea briefly in a previous week. It seems this is happening now in Minnesota. Apparently, someone is going to have to go back on their campaign promises, as the governor promised to raise taxes, and the legislature promised to NOT raise taxes. Since the two sides can’t agree, the government has “shut down.”

Of course, when government “shuts down,” that doesn’t really mean much — because all services deemed “essential” get to keep running. You know, things like prisons, courts, zoos, and other such needed things. Even the zoo is still running. In fact, the biggest worry for the state appears to be that the state-run gambling racetrack is shut down! Oh heavens me, people cannot gamble without the state!

Of course, there is also the devastating news that 20,000 state workers were furloughed. Then again, they’re all going to get unemployment benefits — and every time in the past something like this has happened, 100% of them get all their “back pay” for time not worked during the shutdown.

So the only real effects apparent from this “devastating” government shut down is that the state parks don’t have rangers patrolling and the state-run horse track isn’t open. So tell me again why we need this government?

Why Government Gets No Respect

People often tell me that I need to “respect” government. I’m supposed to obey laws, whether I agree with them or not, simply because they’re the law. I’m told to “use the system” to change laws that I disagree with, no matter how repugnant. Of course, those same people can’t answer me when I ask about a law that’s passed that requires punching anyone in the face who wears brown shoes.

But no, I don’t respect this government. I’d like to, but 99.9% of all government employees are corrupt people who will literally do anything they’re told to do because they’re just “doing their job.” And 100% of them are making a living, literally, off my work and earnings. They should honor me for enabling them to take a part of my money. Instead, the majority of them treat me like a second-class citizen. While glancing around the news today, a couple quick stories that jumped out that really highlight why I have zero respect for government and have no desire to “use the system” to try and fix it:

#1: Racism is required by government. In this case, the court has ruled that government (and ONLY government) should judge people by the color of their skin. If you have white skin, you should be punished, according to government. And worse, the judge won’t admit that’s what he’s saying, instead speaking in perfect Orwellian double-speak, actually claiming that if you DON’T judge people by their skin color, that’s a violation of the Constitution. Feel free to check your Constitution for the words that require government to discriminate by skin color. If your copy doesn’t have that line, you’re not reading the same copy the federal government is using. I have no desire to be part of that type of government.

#2: The truth will get you fired. Well, if you’re a policeman in St. Petersburg, Florida, that is. A policeman simply told a citizen that there were unsafe areas in the town. This was a simple factual statement made by someone who actually knows where the criminals are. For pointing out that there are criminals in the town, the mayor may have him fired — or at least disciplined. This just highlights another reason not to trust police — because they’ve been ordered by their masters to lie to you. And, of course, they’re willing to lie because, “they’re just doing their job.”

Countries, Riots, and Defaults

So, has anyone else noticed the commonalities going on around the world now? Unions in Greece are massively rioting with injuries all around — because their government is voting for tax increases for them and fewer benefits for the union members. The UK has started huge strikes and protests because their government is reducing union benefits and cash.

And in America, Obama insists that the only way to avoid default is to raise taxes — on non-union people.

I think Obama is afraid that if he agrees to reduce free stuff, benefits, and piles of cash for union members that there will be riots and protests here — and there likely would be — but I wonder if most people would notice?

After all, people not employed by government would just continue working. Those who homeschool and use private schools would just keep learning. In fact, that might be the biggest fear of Obama and his union pals — that if all the public sector unions went on strike at once that most people wouldn’t notice or care — and then the real value of those public sector unions would become quite apparent…
