In Fairness to Fred Thompson…...

Stating the GOP race is more competitive now seems an obvious conclusion and more plausible than the flawed theory proposed by WaPo or vaguely disclosed sources.

Well now thinker, I am not drinking Kool Aid and I am not proud of Bush's numbers. I merely point out that prior to the election the Donks and the MSM made a big deal about his approval rating as some mandate for change. Now that they are lower than he is, they are silent about it.

I also believe, no I know, that I wrote to vote for anyone who is not an incumbent. I did not specify a party so that means everyone.

The country is displeased with ALL of them (President and Congress) but he seems to be doing a bit better than they so we hear little about it. I can assure you that if Congress had a 50 or 60% approval they would be beating him up for his 29%.

Thanks for coming by and commenting.

Check out some actual historical data. (http://www.galluppoll.com/content/?ci=28456) Except for the months immediately after 9/11, when even W managed to fool most of the people most of the time, Congress' approval rating has peaked at 50% and pretty much stayed in the 30s and 40s. None of them give a hoot about us, and calling the Democrats names is doing nothing more than playing their game.

It takes a unique person to be proud of his President's 29% approval rating, especially when you consider it's DOWN from 33% in August. Pass the kool-aid...maybe it'll start to look good to me too.
