Any Wonder They Question Our Motives?

Vice President Joe Biden is the gift that keeps on giving. He is a gaffe a minute and every time he opens his mouth there is a great probability that something stupid will come out. People target Sarah Palin and call her stupid and if she made the same number and types of gaffes as Biden we would hear it non stop. Biden is a Democrat so he gets a pass.

Biden was selected by Barack Obama because of Biden’s foreign policy experience which is one of the many things that Obama has no experience in. Remember, Obama is the least experienced guy in any room he enters.

So if Biden is such a genius in foreign policy why would he insult the government of Afghanistan and at the same time feed the belief that we are imperialists who believe we are rulers of everyone? The people of Afghanistan (and Iraq) see us as occupiers who will force our ways on people because we know best. We have spent a lot of time on public relations trying to convince those concerned that we are not the bad people we are made out to be.

Biden basically insulted the Afghanistan government by saying that daddy was going to take the training wheels off and they had better practice. This was stated in regard to the transfer of security to the Afghan government by 2014:

“Daddy is going to start to take the training wheels off in October — I mean in next July, so you’d better practice riding.” ABC

Could this jackass have been any more condescending? Using the word Daddy makes it sound as if we believe the Afghan government to be a bunch of children who are being looked after by big daddy America. It is an insult. Since training wheels are used on CHILDREN’S Bicycles, the analogy reinforces his assertion that they are children being looked after by “daddy.”

Yeah, the genius on foreign policy. This moron should keep his mouth shut and let the real adults run the place though finding a real adult in the Obama administration might be a hard thing to do.

Regardless, someone needs to put a muzzle on Biden before he sets foreign relations back 50 years.

One has to wonder if his brain is in gear before he engages his mouth.

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

This entire administration is like an out of control 2 year old in the middle of a tantrum.

Another stupid thing from Biden but not exactly as bad as your side is making it. I’m glad though that you worry about foreign policy now that your side is no longer invading countries and straining the relationship between all our allies and the goodwill with the rest of the world.

“People target Sarah Palin and call her stupid and if she made the same number and types of gaffes as Biden we would hear it non stop.”

I don’t think Palin is stupid but I do think she is a pathetic opportunist who says and does things simply to make more money and stay in the spot light. She ceased being a public servant and working for the country when she realized she could make a lot more money if she quit work and simply pretended to still work for the country. Through her own continued actions and the actions of her family she’s shown the whole batch to be giant national disgrace. I hope she runs and I hope she wins the nomination.

“Remember, Obama is the least experienced guy in any room he enters.”

This is not true of course but your side has tried and failed to frame him as such ever since he entered the race for the White House. No, Obama didn’t have military experience that some presidents have had. No, he didn’t have the level of executive experience that some presidents have had. Why is it that you apparently think those are the only two qualities which make a person experienced enough to lead our country? You’ve taken an intelligent, well educated, hard working individual that has excelled at every level of both private and public life and you’ve made him out to be completely inexperienced person. Some on your side even call him a “man child” which is completely moronic.

“This moron should keep his mouth shut and let the real adults run the place though finding a real adult in the Obama administration might be a hard thing to do.”

This coming from the man who carried water for the children of the Bush administration for 8 long years. You want to talk about setting foreign policy back 50 years? Just take a look at any moment from the Bush administration. Any moment.

Carrying water seems to be your strong suit as seen in this response. Palin did not quit to make more money. She quit because your side was piling debt up on her with frivilous ethics complaints, that under Alaskan law must be investigated, and it was affecting her ability to run her state. She removed your side’s weapon by removing herself from the equation.

Obama succesful in public and private life? What did he do in private life that was successful except be able to say do you want fries with that? What did he do in the Illinois Senate except vote present? What did he do in US Senate that was noteworthy? He was elected because of his skin color, not because of his ability. If he was a white guy Hillary would have won. End of story.

I think you are exaggerating a bit. I was plenty critical of Bush and his administration when what they did was against what I want and believe. You failed to notice, as usual. I just did not jump on board phony stories about AWOL from the service, “outing” Plame, war for oil, etc.

Yeah, he set us back 50 years, sure thing. No attack here since 9/11 because of him. Democrats gave us 9/11 and set back the foreign policy. We met the challenge head on and did not ignore it like the Dems.

How can Palin’s actions be a national disgrace? More of the people she campaigned for won than did those who Obama campaigned for. Yeah, she cleaned his clock.

As for the presidency, let us wait and see. Will she run, maybe. Will she win, who knows but I know that people who underestimate her do so at their own peril.

Face it, she is a real threat or you libs would not wet your pants and go goofy at the mention of her name. You would not work so hard to discredit her and attack her family. You claim Obama is smart and successful and people attack him in an unfair fashion. Yet you have nothing to say about the way your side went after palin and her family.

I do know this, Palin might not beat Obama in an election but she is more of a man than he will ever be (and she is not a man in any way, shape or form). If he spent a week in the Alaskan wilderness she would make him look pathetic.

Of course, Big Dog, you realize that Biden actually believes he IS your Daddy and it is his job to be your Daddy – even if you don’t want him to be.

  4. Adam says:

“She removed your side’s weapon by removing herself from the equation.”

To believe that I’d have to believe she cares for anyone but herself and her immediate family. She’s been an opportunist from the day she entered the national picture. Even many folks on your side tire of her because of this.

“What did he do in private life that was successful except be able to say do you want fries with that?”

First of all he became a lawyer which is a tough road, after graduating magna cum laude from Harvard. He worked for and was successful at numerous non-profit organizations and legal aid groups. I know you don’t think excelling in that field means anything but he worked hard and he made a name for himself.

“What did he do in the Illinois Senate except vote present?”

Another myth spread by your side. Obama voted present 129 times, yes. Of course that’s 129 times out of 4000 votes. I guess it depends on how you define successful. I’m sure you wouldn’t like the legislation he voted for or sponsored but that’s another topic altogether.

“How can Palin’s actions be a national disgrace?”

She has done nothing but dance in front of the camera since coming onto the national stage. These are the things that make me cringe when I hear about it: Her willingness to parade her children in front of the cameras and then feign outrage when they become part of the public discourse, her public disputes with that idiot father of her daughter’s baby, her weird husband, her daughter’s online comments, her daughter’s time on that stupid show Dancing With the Stars, and her silly reality TV show.

“Face it, she is a real threat or you libs would not wet your pants and go goofy at the mention of her name.”

I don’t fear her, go goofy, or work hard to discredit her. I think she’s politically smart and well positioned but I think she still has work to do to win over major parts of the party structure.

She excites a particular part of the GOP base and that’s great. It will be interesting to see the primary but frankly I doubt she’ll win even one state. It’s hard to say though. The primary season is as much about timing and luck as it is about anything else. If she raises a lot of money early on and she gets a lot of buzz she could take a few early states and go with it.

    • Big Dog says:

She does care about more than herself. You have bought into the picture painted by the fearful media.

You tire of seeing her all over the place. Now, at least, you know how I and many others feel about Obama. While it has gotten less frequent, he was all over the TV. He was everywhere and one could not turn on a broadcast device without seeing or hearing him.

As for parading her kids around, explain how she did anything differently than Obama did. Explain why her kids were fair game but Obama admonished the media and told them to leave his kids alone. I don’t think they should go after non adult kids anyway but tell me why there was a double standard. Obama marched his kids out and told people to leave them alone and when Palin took her kids out they were attacked (though to his credit I think Obama said they ought to leave Palin’s family alone).

Her weird husband? A guy who holds a job and is tough as nails and you call him weird.

Perhaps we could see some of Obama’s college transcripts so we can see exactly what he did. It would be interesting to see what his grades were and how he was admitted. As for becoming a lawyer, a lot of people do that. No one said the guy was not intelligent but don’t confuse intelligence with actual ability. Isn’t his law license suspended? I believe his wife’s is as well. Hmmmm……

      • Adam says:

“You have bought into the picture painted by the fearful media.”

I judge her simply on her own words and actions as you do many others on my side. She’s a train wreck for your side, mark my words.

“Explain why her kids were fair game but Obama admonished the media and told them to leave his kids alone.”

Palin’s children were not fair game but they did get more attention than most children of presidential candidates simply because Palin made them part of her campaign. She spoke publicly about motherhood, her choices related to the illness of her son, her daugthter’s pregnancy, and several other things of that nature. But when somebody else dared to mention it as well he feigned outrage as if she didn’t understand why it had to be part of the conversation. That fake victim hood is classic Palin.

“Perhaps we could see some of Obama’s college transcripts so we can see exactly what he did.”

We know he graduated at the very top of his class at law school so we know his grades were perfect or near perfect. For his other college it’s hard to say. He could have been a slacker like John Kerry for all we know but then again that wouldn’t have helped him much to get into law school.

“As for becoming a lawyer, a lot of people do that.”

Sure, but few lawyers graduate magna cum laude from Harvard. But I’m not saying any one piece of his past makes him qualified but his entire life does that. Sure he could have used a bit more executive experience like a state governor gets but let’s stop pretending he’s the kind of guy who’s never had to work or lead anything his entire life. You should let go of that mistruth.

“Isn’t his law license suspended? I believe his wife’s is as well.”

Another rumor spread by your side. Michelle Obama’s license is “voluntarily inactive” and President Obama’s is “voluntarily retired.” Their licenses were not suspended or stripped from them as the rumors spread suggested. Michelle can return to practicing law if she ever wants to. I assume Obama’s is retired because he’ll have bigger fish to fry as president and former president for pretty much the rest of his life.
