I tremble at what I have read. I am, let us be clear, an Israeli Professor of Jewish History, and I want all of you to understand: however dangerous it is, and it is dangerous, there must be a two state solution. Otherwise, the Palestinians will overwhelm us with their numbers. Every responsible source in Israel is united on this. I do not want that. I want a Jewish State, one with a Jewish majority, with respect–the very respect Jews cannot have in Arab states–for Israeli Arabs, who, too, are Israelis and more loyal than most give them credit for. We have deluded ourselves long enough. Those who want to remain in Jehudah and Shomron, stay there, but become Palestinian citizens and insist on equal treatment. Do not destroy Israel in the name of a fantasized Eretz Yisrael.

For some reason Jews have been their own worst enemy throughout history. I mean, Hitler was certainly a terrible enemy but in the history of the Jewish people they continue to do things that cause themselves misery and to incur God’s wrath.

I can’t understand why the ones in America would turn their backs on Israel is such a fashion.

I am not even jewish and I’m worried about Israel. My husband and I pray every night for the safety of Israel.

I still can’t believe American Jews voted for this man.

In Israel, they have a saying, “never again”- referencing the Holocaust, and the 6 million dead. Well, apparently, that’s well and good for Israel, but the American Jewish community, beginning with Steven Spielberg, and moving down the line, has become so Americanized that they can deny their heritage and, as everybody seems to need to say these days, “threw Israel under the bus”.
Never again can become here it is again all too soon, when you do not remember or revere the past, and do not hold your friends and allies close.
And then there is misplaced guilt- the left has a way of making a person feel guilty over stuff there should be no guilt about.
Anyone who reads a real history of the creation of the State of Israel in the mid- 20th century would have to come to the realization that the Palestinians were deceived not by the Jews, but by the Arab states around Israel. The Palestinians have been and continue to be used as pawns by these Arab states, plus the Persians (Iran).
It is just a shame that the American Jews, led by those in the media, have forsaken the state of Israel. I would strip them of their Jewish heritage and label, because that seems to be what they want- to be essentially anti- Jews.
This becomes just another nail that Barama is pounding into the coffin that he is building for America, and expatriate Jews are holding the nail.
I guess that these are the new Pharisees, and Barama is playing Pontius Pilate here. Its a shame that there are such spineless people here.
