About The Culture Of Corruption

Harry Reid was out in front when the battle cry of the Democrats was about the so-called Republican culture of corruption. This was at fever pitch when the Jack Abramoff bribery scandal it the fan. he donks went nuts despite the fact that a great deal of them including Harry Reid, were neck deep in the pay offs. Reid has taken free tickets to boxing matches from the Nevada athletic commission and sees nothing wrong with the practice.

Now there is word that Reid was involved in a real shady land deal that netted him 1.1 million dollars. He hung up on a reporter who asked about the deal. This was a deal where Reid hid what he was doing from Congress and lied about ownership.

The deal began in 1998 when Reid bought undeveloped residential property on Las Vegas’ booming outskirts for about $400,000. Reid bought one lot outright, and a second parcel jointly with Brown. One of the sellers was a developer who was benefiting from a government land swap that Reid supported. The seller never talked to Reid.

In 2001, Reid sold the land for the same price to a limited liability corporation created by Brown. The senator didn’t disclose the sale on his annual public ethics report or tell Congress he had any stake in Brown’s company. He continued to report to Congress that he personally owned the land.

After getting local officials to rezone the property for a shopping center, Brown’s company sold the land in 2004 to other developers and Reid took $1.1 million of the proceeds, nearly tripling the senator’s investment. Reid reported it to Congress as a personal land sale. My Way News

Now I want to know where all the braying jackasses are. I want to know where all the donks who are so virtuous that they would never do anything corrupt are and I want to know why they have not talked about Dingy Harry’s shady land deal.

The donks are as corrupt as any one else. I have said it before and I will say it again, corruption crosses both party lines.

Wow, I didn’t know about this, Big Dog, though I’m not surprised, if for no other reason than that lefties are highly prone to, as Peter Schweizer’s book is titled, “Do as I say, not as I do”.
