Scott Ritter & Saddam: A Match Made In Hell

If you are a regular reader of Big Dog’s, you know we have been following both the Oil-for-Food scandal and our home-grown traitor, Scott Ritter. Not surprisingly, we now have a link between the two. Ritter was in Saddam’s pocket.

The National Review Online (NRO) published an interesting article last Thursday concerning the Oil-for-Food investigation and the growing list of recipients of Saddam Hussein’s bribes. Some of the Iraq incursions biggest critics top the list, including former French Interior Minister Charles Pasqua and British Member of Parliament George Galloway. What a surprise! Buried deep in the article, Scott Ritter’s name also appears as a recipient of Saddam’s largess. Yes, Mr. Ritter reportedly received funds indirectly from Saddam to bankroll his lobbying efforts as an anti-sanctions/anti war activist. So much for “Semper Fidelis,” Mr. Ritter! The Marines should roast you on a spit for aiding and abetting the enemy . . . as well as for disrespecting your oath towards your fellow Marines.

It all fits, now. Ritter sold his soul to the devil. Once you cross that line, it is impossible to come back. So, it’s really no surprise that Ritter continued down his ill-fated path by writing articles for al-Jazeera and speaking against the Bush administration at every far-left rally that gives credence to his newest contention that our country will attack Iran in June. (Perhaps Iran is now counted among Ritter’s employers.) I imagine that when the Oil-for-Food money stopped lining his pockets he needed to find another source of income.

The article details the Senate investigation and what has been revealed. It is a great deal more telling then the official UN investigation. Once again, the MSM seems to be keeping a lid on their coverage. The article is extremely revealing and a “must read” for anyone interested in uncovering the truth concerning the scandal.

The importance of this Senate report goes well beyond those two names [Pasqua and Galloway], however. Using documents from Saddam’s own records, supplemented by interviews with officials of the former Saddam regime, Senate investigators are uncovering detailed new evidence that Oil-for-Food served as a vehicle for Saddam to thwart sanctions, fund terrorists, and buy political influence within the U.N.’s own Security Council. — by Claudia Rosett, NRO

Under the premise of Dante’s Inferno, Scott Ritter and many other Oil-for-Food bribe recipients would fall into the Ninth Circle of Hell — designed specifically for traitors. Somehow that seems appropriate and fitting. We can only hope Dante knew about that which he was writing.

As it would be unprofessional to say “we told you so,” you can read the two previous posts concerning Ritter here and here.
