9-11-2001; A Day To Remember

Eight years ago radical Muslims attacked the US killing nearly 3000 people. The aftermath led to the illness of thousands more as they breathed in hazardous substances while working in the rescue effort. Eight years ago today the world was forever changed and the lives of millions were affected when they learned that loved ones they sent off to work were never coming home. Many of us also lost friends that day. My comrade in arms, Bill Ruth, was killed at the Pentagon.

Today there will be remembrances all across the country as we honor those who were killed in that cowardly attack. As with all significant, and usually tragic, historical events people will think back to what they were doing on that quiet day eight years ago.

It is important to remember and to pay tribute to those who made a difference that day. If it had not been for the brave people aboard Flight 93 the Capitol or White House might have been hit as well.

We came together as a nation that terrible day and we were one voice for some time after but as time moved on we once again became a nation divided. It is a shame that this wake up call was only a brief interruption for some who still want to live with a 9/10 mindset but as a great and free nation, our citizens are afforded that luxury.

As for me, I will never forget where I was, what I was doing, the horrific images and the heroic actions of that day and the days that followed.

As a nation we must work to ensure that something like this will NEVER AGAIN happen.

May God have mercy on those who were killed that day and those whose lives have been shortened because of that day and May God bless the United States of America.

Big Dog

  1. Blake says:

I know I remember where I was and what I was doing- I knew right then we were at war, I just did not know with whom, but I never thought in my wildest dreams that the Democratic party would turn out to be the spineless group of traitors that they have become- I thought they loved America also, but as we have seen from the Won, nothing could be further from the truth.
Frankly, I am surprised that the Liberals haven’t proposed a memorial to the terrorists on Ground Zero, when in reality, we should have identified the hijackers, and gone in and wiped ALL of their families from the earth, and then salted the ground so that NOTHING ever grew there again.
THAT is how you make an impression. THAT is how you get vengeance- that is how you teach people not to mess with the US.

  2. victoria says:

spineless group of traitors–we have a Pres who identifies more with the terrorists than with Americans.

  3. Adam says:

Behold torture pornographer Blake and the predictably irrational Victoria. They’re just two more cogs in the Republican Wheel of idiocy that keeps turning and turning and smashing logic and reason into the manure all the way.

I can’t imagine why Americans voted your side out of office in two large masses the last two cycles, if you’re in any way a representative sample.

You keep day dreaming of a comeback in 2010 but you’re going to need to bring a lot more to the table than your paranoid delusions about Democrats who hate America and a president that identifies with terrorists instead of Americans.

    • Darrel says:

ADM: “I can’t imagine why Americans voted your side out of office in two large masses the last two cycles,”>>

      DAR
You’re exactly right Adam. This story tells the real fear of the non-crazy party of the party:

Republicans Fear “Crackpots” Becoming Face Of Party.

    • Blake says:

Just because you are unwilling or UNABLE to do what must be done, do not hold back those who are willing to do these things, for it is the actions of a few rough men that enable you to blog as deceitfully as you two do. If you do not like it, you are very free to move- indeed, I would encourage it- all of us would probably benefit from your move.
      Please feel free.

  4. Blake says:

It’s NOT paranoia if it is true, Adam, and in this case, I regret to say that it IS true. Hussein probably DOES identify with the truthers- I know it would not surprise me, especially when I see all the czarlets, or commisars, or whatever he is calling them today.

  5. Adam says:

And your evidence that Obama is probably a truther? Or that Democrats want a memorial for terrorists on ground zero? You love to play make believe, don’t you?

    • Big Dog says:

Why would you need evidence to say that someone is PROBABLY something? If I said Adam probably drives a Prius I would need no evidence. It is not a statement of fact, just an opinion.

      • Adam says:

To define “probably” : “With considerable certainty; without much doubt”

Now let’s look at Blake’s statement: “It’s NOT paranoia if it is true, Adam…”

So let’s not play semantic games. Cough up the evidence or stop defending Blake when he flat out lies through his teeth.

    • Blake says:

The way Demmies coddle terrorists, you would think they were family- you reward your friends, but treat your enemies harshly- you DO want to make an impression. Anything less is a bad battle plan.

    • Blake says:

Let’s see- IF you are truly known by the company one keeps, and Van Jones was a truther, and was appointed by Nobumma, then the Resident probably knew about that view, and it obviously didn’t affect the appointment, therefore he was sympathetic to that viewpoint.

  6. Adam says:

Once again Blake smears liberals with outrageous lies and then runs from calls to provide evidence to substantiate those claims. This is all he knows how to do.

Once again Big Dog defends Blake and pretends that it is my job to prove Blake wrong when Blake has done nothing to prove himself right.

This is how logic works in the conservative make believe world they live in:

Look world, I’ve just made something up! It is completely unsupported by facts or reality but nonetheless here is is! Now try and prove me wrong, liberals!

    • Big Dog says:

No Adam, I only asked your to prove that saying something PROBABLY is true is a lie.

That is the reality of it. He said probably. Show how that is a lie. He is basing his probability on what he has read and the messiah’s associations. PROBABLY a truther (like you say Bush probably knew who “outed” Plame).

There is no proof, just a probability based on what you have read and see.

The logic in a libs world. If a Dem says it there are many reasons for what was said and meant. If a conservative says it then give what they said your own meaning and hold them to it.

You have that Alinsky stuff going for you Adam. You PROBABLY would have liked the guy.

    • Blake says:

Adam, I OPINED that Hussein probably (there’s that pesky word again) has a sympathetic viewpoint with the truthers- after all, he hired a commie felon truther as an advisor, and he said it himself- “If you want to see what I believe, look to who I surround myself with…” Well, Ayers, Wright, Sunstein, Holdren, Browner, and up til recently, Jones- Are you freaking Helen Keller?
I would say that even my opinion has more evidence (anecdotal) than yours.

  7. Adam says:

Oh, gosh. Yes, since you have no evidence whatsoever you can just say “probably” because you think it must be true. Sorry, but that’s garbage and you know it. Still waiting for Blake to say why with “considerable certainty; without much doubt” he thinks Obama is a truther and Dems would have liked to memorialize terrorists. Keep spreading the garbage, guys. That will win you back the Congress…

  8. Adam says:

And as for Alinsky let’s get one thing straight. I don’t need some guy’s rules or methods to teach me how to spot a bold faced liar like Blake. Blake broadcasts that for everyone to see.

    • Blake says:

Ahh- those libtard wingnut slurs- I feel refreshed in the knowledge that Adam has run out of both argument and words.

  9. Schatzee says:

The spot where the towers stood is far too profitable in a land/real estate sense to use that for a memorial, libs will put that somewhere less expensive and lease out ground zero. LOL

On a serious note, this day is almost sacred in most true American minds. I believe it should forever be a day where we learned we are just as vulnerable as the rest of the world to attacks by lame cowards and should continuously strive at peace through superior strength.
