11 Months In And Obama Is Tired

Aww, poor little fella, Barack Obama is tired. He has been at his job for 11 months and he is tired. My Way News reports:

After a sleepless, overnight flight to Oslo to accept the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this month, President Barack Obama made a not altogether surprising admission. He was tired.

I am having a tough time figuring out how this guy is tired. He has time to play golf just about every weekend and he has pick-up basketball games at the White House. On a whim he hops in the motorcade and takes his daughters out for ice cream. It would seem to me that if the guy has all the energy for these activities then he can’t be all that tired no matter how many trips he has taken (some of them quite unnecessary).

But if he is tired then perhaps some extra sleep on the weekend instead of the golf games or a nap instead of basketball would take care of the fatigue.

Our troops are in combat working much longer hours than Obama and in a more hostile environment than this pampered limo liberal has ever seen and they carry over a hundred pounds of gear with them. Obama has people who carry his things.

Now I don’t begrudge the guy his vacation time and I am just delighted that it is interrupted by the ineptitude of those he left watching the nation but why is he fatigued? He has it easy compared to the troops. Hell, this is his second vacation in a home costing millions of dollars at a luxury spot and he has had date night with his wife and whisked her off to Chicago for Valentine’s Day. All this, plus the golf and basketball and he has only been in office for 11 months. When did he find any time to actually work?

He should try crawling around in the sand toting a weapon and humping his gear while getting shot at. He should try doing this while enjoying the international cuisine known as the Meal, Ready to Eat (MRE). You won’t find any of that $100 a pound steak Obama likes in those packages.

And Obama works in his home. He has breakfast with his girls each morning and walks from the office to his living quarters in the evening to spend time with his family. This is something our troops cannot do.

So quite frankly, I do not want to hear all this mess about Obama being tired. He is not half the person of those fighting for this country and they are working harder than he ever has or ever will.

Eleven months and he is tired.

What a load of crap.

I guess this too is Bush’s fault.

Obama will clearly need to adopt Bush’s vacation schedule in order to get through his next year without being as tired…

  2. Darrel says:

Careful readers may notice that the article Bigd cites provides several verbatim comments from Obama but not a single one of them have him saying he is “tired.”

    It does say this:

“…he still thrives on a keeping a busy schedule and continues to scoff at critics who say he’s taken on too much in his first year. Unlike former President George W. Bush, who made getting eight hours of sleep a priority, Obama often works late into the night, averaging five or six hours of sleep, but making do with less when need be.”

Yet Bigd pretends to be “having a tough time figuring out how this guy is tired.”

    Bigd swings. Bigd misses.

“President Barack Obama made a not altogether surprising admission. He was tired.”

When a person makes an admission then it means he said he was tired.

I have a tough time figuring this out because he has time for play while our troops do not.

Careful readers will notice that the comparison was to the troops and not to George Bush. Bush was not mentioned by me in this post except to claim he would probably be blamed.

Bush Derangement Syndrome…Some folks can’t shake it.

The troops, who work HARDER than Obama were the comparison.

I can’t figure out how he is tired because he does not work, he plays. If he is so tired he should take time to rest rather than play golf or trot around on dates with his Klingon wife.

And lest we forget that My Way News is an AP organization so it would have to put in the obligatory Bush bash.

I imagine that at an older age Bush could out work Obama, out run him and probably beat his ass. Obama is young, he should not be tired.

He does not work as hard as the rest of us and has every other thing in life done for him.

The point, for those who missed it, if he is tired then he should cut out the other activities. The other point and the main part of the post, the troops work a hell of a lot harder than Obama and don’t have all the recreation time. If anyone should be fatigued, it is they.

Hey Adam, maybe he could take those vacations Bush took (an inflated number made up by the left) and then work as hard as Bush did. I would like to see Obama clear brush on a ranch.

I would love to see him crawling in the sand with the real men…

But like you, he would be wetting his pants.

    • Adam says:

I don’t have any disrespect for the work our troops do but I also don’t see the need to ignore the difference between hard work and heavy responsibility.

You want to compare tiring work? Let me know when the troops (or yourself for that matter) are charged with magically righting the economy of the US after a bad recession. Let me know when the troops are making day to day decisions that directly affect the lives of every American at home and every one of our troops over seas. Let me know when every action or word or gesture a soldier makes is recorded and scrutinized and criticized by media and bloggers and the general public 24 hours a day.

There was no inflated value for Bush. You just pretended Bush was still working for us while he was faking cutting brush on his ranch. In reality he was just leaving the running of the government to folks like Dick Cheney and all their war profiteering thugs.

      • Blake says:

Adam- let me know when you see a person in government with the intelligence to “right the economy”- O’bama hasn’t even begun to get that done, instead focusing on EVERYTHING else BUT the economy.
In addition, what he HAS done has been as ineffectual as trying to hold the ocean back with a board- can’t be done.
This moron gave himself a B- ? For WHAT?
He has done nothing right but try and insinuate the government into every aspect of our lives, an unconstitutional move that we will have to spend years undoing.
That is NOT good governing- neither is avoiding blame- another trait the libbies seem to have in abundance. Sooner or later, the buck WILL have to stop there- with him.

Bigd: “When a person makes an admission then it means he said he was tired.”>>

      DAR
Bigd makes his favorite mistake, taking a reporters interpretation and then running with it. Where’s the quote?
I say this only because Bigd writes his screed as if Obama is complaining. But there is no evidence of this. He is just working hard and putting in long hours for his country, (while a couple tens of million ideologues like Bigd work for him to fail).

Bigd: “he has time for play while our troops do not.”>>

      DAR
      Troops don’t have play time?.

Bigd: “troops, who work HARDER than Obama”>>

      DAR
And their average age is 26, and they get more than 5-6 hours of rest so your comparison, is again, stupid.

Bigd: “Bush was not mentioned by me in this post”>>

      DAR
And we all know why. Best to avoid the topic of Bush and vacation time. He was mentioned in your article, quite appropriately.

You act like Obama is the only one. And he is causing many of the economic problems. If he were more concerned with being the leader rather than the cool cat who everyone likes he might get something done.

Leaders leave the running to others and Bush left it to competent people. We saw the incompetence of Obama this past weekend when his people screwed it all up.

You are acting as if Obama is the only one to have these problems. Bush had 9/11 in his first year. And Adam, I could do the job of President and would not complain about being tired. Then again, I actually know what it is like to lead. I am more qualified than Obama and could do this job you seem to suddenly think is so tough. You never supported Bush or said, hmm that guy has a tough job maybe I should let him do it without bothering him. No, you think that war profiteers ran the place.

Tell me, how did Cheney profit from the war. Careful how you answer, we have been through this before.

I see, now that Obama is in there he is working hard but with Bush he was faking cutting brush and had no inflated value.

Funny how you can have your opinion of Bush and we are all supposed to live with it but when we express an opinion of Obama you defend him and call us racists.

Well F*CK Obama. There, like that. I do not like him. He is a radical liberal asshole who is driving the country into the ground. He is too busy being the cool black guy who got voted in to do his job. I do not like him and I have little use for most liberals. F*CK them all.

All I can say is that the decisions had better be good ones. Someone will pay for the bad ones that affect the families of Americans who actually care about the country.

    • Darrel says:

Bigd: “and Bush left it to competent people.”

      DAR
It’s not even possible to make fun of that one.

“…if somebody doesn’t believe what they’re saying, it’s very hard to out-stupid them,” said a decidedly analytical Colbert. “Because then there’s no place to sink our hook into, there’s no mountain to climb there. I can’t climb Glenn Beck since there’s nothing there.”

  5. Adam says:

Where did I call you a racist for your opinion of Obama? When have I ever done that? Is this some kind of tick for you? You imagine it this way:

Liberal: “He’s criticizing Obama, call him racist.”

In reality it is this way:

Conservative: “He’s questioning my lack of reason and logic in attacking Obama, accuse him of calling me a racist.”

I never said Bush had an easy job, I just know Bush set records for being on vacation. Presidents have a right to be tired. Watching you complain and swear and moan about how you hate us liberals and hate the man who unquestionably won the White House doesn’t cry “leadership” or bolster your case that you could do a better job than Obama. You just come off as unhinged instead…

    • Big Dog says:

Don’t mistake your interpretation of something as the absolute. You have indeed called me a racist for opposing Obama. As a private citizen I get to say what I want. That does not mean I could not do a better job than Obama.

I get to hate who I want for whatever reason I want. To help you though, I do not hate him for any reason other than he is a radical liberal. I generally hate all liberals. They are morons who have no moral values and work against the country. And that does not just mean Democrats. There have been plenty of progressives on the right who have driven this country toward socialism. You and your buddies espouse the methods that have been disproved time and again. Socialism and Communism have killed more people than the wars but you embrace that life.

      • Adam says:

“You have indeed called me a racist for opposing Obama.”

I’ve called you a racist when you are a racist. I have never called you a racist simply because you oppose Obama. You have imagined this and you refuse to accept reality.

“As a private citizen I get to say what I want.”

Why is it you (and other conservatives) seem to always want to interpret criticism as trying to silence or censor you? Yes, you are free to say what you want and as long as you allow me to do so I am free tell you how wrong you are every time.

“[Liberals] are morons who have no moral values and work against the country.”

If that makes it easy for you to vote for the party of the white protestant male then I guess that’s OK.

        • Blake says:

You have called both BigD and I racists when you “perceive” that there might be some taint of a racist slant somewhere in a post.
For example, I might comment on O’bama’s “women’s” jeans that he wore, while trying his dead level, liberal best to look manly- (a failure)- and you might see racism in that comment, instead of what there truly was- unadulterated scorn of a poseur- someone who shouldn’t be president, because he lacks common sense, instead, allowing his doctrinal “logic to hold sway, thus crippling the American people at a time when he should be helping us, not drowning us like michael vick does puppies.
